In a couple short weeks we will be bidding the Waverly Senior Class of 2023 farewell during Waverly’s grad­u­a­tion exer­cises. Our senior class has achieved a lot during one of the most chal­leng­ing periods in our nation’s recent history.

The Nashville event reminds us that we need to main­tain our prac­tice of support­ing each other. While we can make the school phys­i­cally more secure, we need to be certain to provide emotional safety to our peers and family members. We are commit­ted to provid­ing equity and safety for everyone.

Today is Inter­na­tional Women’s Day! March 8 is a global day cele­brat­ing the social, economic, cultural, and polit­i­cal achieve­ments of women. The day was also founded to high­light the signif­i­cance of women’s contri­bu­tions to our world and make sure that every­one under­stands that women’s lives and expe­ri­ences should be honored and understood.
