Our events offer families a chance to connect with faculty, explore classrooms, and learn more about our progressive preschool – 12 program. Once you’ve submitted an inquiry, you’ll gain access to your Parent Portal, where you can register for upcoming events and take the next steps in the admissions process. See below for our scheduled admission events.
Open Houses
We strongly encourage all applicants to attend an Open House. These events provide a full picture of life at Waverly — including visits to classrooms, conversations with faculty, and opportunities to connect with current students and families.
Farm Open House
Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 10:00 a.m. –12:00 p.m.

Attendance at a Campus Open House is required for all High School applicants.
School Tours
Tours are a great way to experience Waverly during a typical school day. These adult-only visits are hosted by our Admission team and include time in classrooms, a guided walk through campus, and opportunities for conversation and questions with students and staff. Tours run from October through January.

9:00 –10:30 a.m. | Elementary Campus

These virtual events offer a meaningful way to connect with our community — parents, students, alumni, and teachers — and gain deeper insight into what makes Waverly unique. Register through your Parent Portal after submitting your inquiry.
Student Visit Days
Student Visit Days allow applicants to experience Waverly’s classrooms, connect with peers, and engage with our faculty. These visits are a required part of the admissions process and take place after an application has been submitted.
Once your application is submitted, you’ll be able to schedule your child’s visit through the checklist in the Parent Portal.
Preschool & Kindergarten: Playdate Visit (Required)
All preschool and kindergarten applicants attend a 90-minute playdate visit on Saturday, January 9, 2027 or Saturday, January 30, 2027.
Children will participate in small group activities led by Waverly faculty in a relaxed, play-based setting. No preparation is needed.
**Parents do not need to stay during the 90-minute visit. However, we will offer an optional walk to the farm during this time for families who were unable to attend the Farm Open House.
Grades 1 – 6: Student Visit Day (Required)
All applicants for Grades 1 – 6 are required to attend a Student Visit on a regular school day. During the visit, students will join their grade-level class, participate in Morning Meeting and our Elementary School Meeting, engage in classroom activities, and spend time with current Waverly students. No preparation is needed. Parents are invited to stay for coffee and to attend our Elementary School Meeting.
Visit Days are held on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., January 8 through February 26. Families may register through the Parent Portal after submitting an application. An application is required to participate in a Student Visit Day.
Middle School: Visit Day (Required)
Students will join Waverly’s middle school classes and community activities to get a feel for life at the Upper Campus. During the visit, applicants will also complete a brief writing and math assessment. No preparation is needed.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a water bottle and snack. Pick-up will take place before lunch.
