Waverly’s elemen­tary school is devel­op­men­tal and theme-based, foster­ing curios­ity, imag­i­na­tion, creativ­ity, and a love of learn­ing. Our admis­sion process allows us to get to know your child and family while giving you the oppor­tu­nity to get to know Waverly. To start the process, please follow the steps below. 

1. Submit an Inquiry

Complete our online Inquiry Form to gain access to the Waverly Parent Portal. We recom­mend doing this early so you can stay informed and regis­ter for admis­sion events. You may submit an inquiry at any time before applying.

2. Visit Us

Once you’ve submit­ted an inquiry, you’ll be able to log into your Parent Portal to:

• View your person­al­ized admission checklist

• Regis­ter for upcom­ing events (Campus Tours, Early Child­hood Curricu­lum Night, Open House, and Student Visit Day)

• Begin your application

We highly encour­age fami­lies to attend an Open House. Campus Tours are for adults only please. Events run between October and March.

3. Apply

Appli­ca­tions are accepted on a rolling basis through the Parent Portal. There is a non-refund­able $100 application fee.

• Early Appli­ca­tion Dead­line: Decem­ber 12, 2025 (guar­an­tees a parent/​guardian interview)

• Regular Appli­ca­tion Dead­line: January 20, 2026

Rolling admis­sion for the current school year is avail­able based on space. If inter­ested, please reach out to the Admis­sions Depart­ment for more infor­ma­tion: admissions@​thewaverlyschool.​org.

4. Sched­ule a Parent Inter­view (required)

After submit­ting your appli­ca­tion, you’ll be able to sched­ule a parent/​caregiver inter­view. These inter­views are held between Decem­ber and Febru­ary and can be conducted either in person or virtu­ally. Please note that appli­cants do not attend this meeting.

5. Regis­ter for a Student Visit Day (required)

All appli­cants for Grades 1 – 6 are required to attend a full-day Student Visit on a regular school day. During the visit, students will join their grade-level class, partic­i­pate in Morning Meeting and our Elemen­tary School Meeting, engage in class­room activ­i­ties, and spend time with current Waverly students. No prepa­ra­tion is needed.

Student Visit Days take place on Fridays from January through Febru­ary and can be sched­uled through your Parent Portal once your appli­ca­tion is submitted.

6. Submit Supporting Materials

Teacher Recom­men­da­tion Form:

• At least two teacher recom­men­da­tions are required. Forms must be submit­ted via the Parent Portal or in a sealed enve­lope on school letterhead.

• Helpful tip: Provide your child’s current teacher with a stamped, addressed enve­lope along with the form.

7. Tran­scripts (required)

Please submit at least two years of tran­scripts for all appli­cants apply­ing to Grade 1 and above. To request records, complete the Tran­script Release Form and provide it to your child’s current school. Tran­scripts must be submit­ted either through your Admis­sions Portal or in a sealed, school-letterhead envelope.

8. Deci­sion Notification

Admis­sion noti­fi­ca­tions are sent to fami­lies elec­tron­i­cally on Friday, March 13, 2026.

• Wednes­day, October 1 — Flex­i­ble Tuition Night

• Satur­day, October 4 — Farm Open House

• Tuesday, Novem­ber 11 — Early Child­hood Curricu­lum Night (PS to 2nd grade) 

• Satur­day, Novem­ber 15 — Campus Open House (AM)

• Satur­day, Decem­ber 13 — Campus Open House (PM)

• Tuesday, January 20 — Application Deadline

• Fridays, January 9 to Febru­ary 27 — 1st through 6th grade Student Visit Days

• Sunday, Febru­ary 13 — Flex­i­ble Tuition and supple­men­tal appli­ca­tion docu­ments due, includ­ing tran­scripts and teacher recommendations.

• Friday, March 13 — Deci­sion noti­fi­ca­tions are sent to families

• Friday, March 20, 2026 — New Enroll­ment Contracts due
