The Waverly School seeks students who are:
• Self-motivated, engaged learners
• Supportive, active, and honest members of the community
• Interested in the complexity and diversity of people, their experiences and knowledge
• Able to develop a strong sense of themselves based on honest reflection.

We welcome families whose goals for their children are compatible with the school’s goals. A diverse student body is an essential component of an experiential education.

Students are most able to understand, appreciate, and respect differences in a setting that includes these differences. Waverly seeks a diverse community in order to fulfill its mission to provide a strong humanistic education for all students.

The Waverly School embraces diversity and values the integrity of the individual. Individual differences of religion, national origin, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and gender are acknowledged and respected. Every member of the community strives to behave in a sensitive, tolerant, and respectful manner.

School Tours
The admissions process at Waverly always begins with a tour for adults. Different tours are scheduled for elementary (YK-6), middle (7-8), and high school (9-12). During the tour prospective parents will have the opportunity to learn about our progressive and developmental philosophy, visit classrooms and ask questions. Applications are distributed at the conclusion of the tour.

Tours for the 2010-2011 school year will begin in November 2009.
